Túlio Peres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aloísio Siqueira in the 27th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waut De Mare to make the kick off. Kia Cerato charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kia Cerato the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Antuérpia SC's Kia Cerato got a free kick in the 56th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gil Travassos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Doriva da Fonseca. That made the score 4-3 in the 98 minute of play.
