In the 10th minute of the match, Guga Simão got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ximenez Cayuso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Vitório Moreno hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Hílton Souza hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Luisinho Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ximenez Cayuso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Resul Erdemalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Arkadiusz Smolarek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Toscano in the 19th minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, América-SC F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hílton Souza to maneuver through the defense. Resul Erdemalp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ximenez Cayuso having to make a save. Ximenez Cayuso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Resul Erdemalp went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Lisandro Piearres's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Arkadiusz Smolarek skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lisandro Piearres in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arkadiusz Smolarek, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 80 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gabi Gol came free, but Ximenez Cayuso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
