Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Teofilo Fresco started the match with the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mártires AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Luțu in the 8th minute of play forced Mártires AFC's goalkeeper Leandro Orlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Club Atlético Esquel fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Club Atlético Esquel's Pompiliu Luțu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roque Admon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Club Atlético Esquel's Dario Lugo got control of the ball when Ricardo Johans tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raul Azibar charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raul Azibar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raul Azibar kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Pompiliu Luțu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Orlo having to interfere. When Serafin Benino fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Esquel's protests and gave Serafin Benino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Serafin Benino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pompiliu Luțu in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Orlo saved Mártires AFC from getting behind. Dario Lugo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Daunte in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Esquel's Angelino Peli got a free kick in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Esquel's goalkeeper Dario Lugo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Johans. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Fernan Ugaitz put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Leandro Orlo. Ricardo Johans kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 38thth minute of the game Pompiliu Luțu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mártires AFC's Leandro Orlo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Fresco in the 42nd minute of play forced Club Atlético Esquel's goalkeeper Dario Lugo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Esquel defense, Teofilo Fresco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Lugo. The Club Atlético Esquel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Lugo should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Leandro Orlo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Ugaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Esquel's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Afonso came free, but Dario Lugo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roque Admon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Leandro Orlo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mártires AFC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Humberto Stanislao hit a great ball. Pompiliu Luțu might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Orlo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pompiliu Luțu ran back to his position shaking his head. Dario Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Fresco in the 76th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Club Atlético Esquel got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Peli. In the 78th minute, Ricardo Johans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Afonso in the 80th minute of play forced Club Atlético Esquel's goalkeeper Dario Lugo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Esquel's Dario Lugo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Afonso in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Club Atlético Esquel's Pompiliu Luțu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leandro Orlo. Leandro Orlo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. In the 92nd match minute, Club Atlético Esquel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pompiliu Luțu to maneuver through the defense. Dario Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Johans in the 93rd minute of play. The Club Atlético Esquel supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Atlético Esquel would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
