Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Santo F.C's Pastor Errando started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Haritz in the 3rd minute of play forced Libertad FC's goalkeeper Fidel Brion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristo Idacio charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristo Idacio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fidel Brion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Haritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Santo F.C's Freddy Markel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Gaizkine in the 9th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Robustiano Emesto put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Freddy Markel. After some careless play in the Santo F.C defense, Robustiano Emesto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddy Markel. The Santo F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddy Markel should have stopped the shot. Robustiano Emesto scored 0-3 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Freddy Markel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Santo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Erruki came free, but Freddy Markel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Damaso Bieito sped through Santo F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Freddy Markel. In the 34th minute Robustiano Emesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Markel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddy Markel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Erruki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santo F.C's Freddy Markel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Gaizkine in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Robustiano Emesto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Libertad FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. 45 minutes into the match, Damaso Bieito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Freddy Markel. Santo F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damaso Bieito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. After the first half Libertad FC were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robustiano Emesto was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Apolo Erruki kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Freddy Markel. That made the score 0-7 in the 53 minute of play. Benedicto Haritz scored 1-7 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fidel Brion, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Robustiano Emesto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Freddy Markel firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Apolo Erruki took a quick shot and it went in 1-8 without a chance for Freddy Markel to make any attempt to save it. 68 minutes into the game, Pastor Errando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santo F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Libertad FC the free kick. After 71 minutes, Guillermo Frisco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santo F.C and the Libertad FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santo F.C's Freddy Markel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Santo F.C from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes into the game, Robustiano Emesto lined in a short shot 1-10 behind a frustrated Freddy Markel. In the 86th minute of the match Apolo Erruki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddy Markel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Robustiano Emesto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Freddy Markel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Teo Gaizkine made a precise shot to the right of Freddy Markel. Santo F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-11. Robustiano Emesto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Teo Gaizkine made a precise shot to the right of Freddy Markel. Santo F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-12. When the match was over Libertad FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Santo F.C throughout the match.
