Fidel Brion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aluísio Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Rolando Leguizamón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Bieito in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Libertad FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Endura to maneuver through the defense. After 44 played minutes Libertad FC got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Endura. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robustiano Emesto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
