An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Eztebe in the 4th minute of play forced Hornillos's goalkeeper Leo Luzaide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leo Luzaide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Guifre in the 5th minute of the match. Ulises Guifre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Leo Luzaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes Hornillos got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Gai. After some careless play in the Puelén defense, Adrian Oto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaston Hechter. The Puelén fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaston Hechter should have stopped the shot. Ulises Guifre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Luzaide having to interfere. Simon Eztebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Leo Luzaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Simon Eztebe sped through Hornillos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leo Luzaide. The supporters of Hornillos booed when Puelén was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Innocenzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Hechter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Cerilo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulises Guifre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Leo Luzaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Hornillos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Puelén were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Simon Eztebe made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Americo Iyan during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Americo Iyan hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Puelén's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Cerilo came free, but Gaston Hechter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Adrian Oto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulises Guifre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Luzaide having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Hornillos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Puelén:s goal. Victor Raitin shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Danilo Gaueko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute Simon Eztebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Luzaide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Hornillos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Puelén were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
