Chimborazo F.C's Arqile Arquett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Chimborazo F.C from getting a goal against them. After 27 played minutes Chimborazo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Duarte. Saverio Ireno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Lamberto in the 41st minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Tobantirenda AFC's Saverio Ireno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Tobantirenda AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Chap in the 56th minute of play forced Chimborazo F.C's goalkeeper Arqile Arquett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudio Jerano kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Arqile Arquett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Nestor Duarte's late challenge caught a Tobantirenda AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nestor Duarte helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo F.C's Nestor Duarte got a free kick in the 90th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Chimborazo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Chap came free, but Arqile Arquett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobantirenda AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
