An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Amancio Brun got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Ebardo in the 19th minute of play forced Anjullan FC's goalkeeper Adrian Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Amancio Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes Clemente Urbes rounded C A River Plate's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 32nd minute Clemente Urbes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Sal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Honorio Lordi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anjullan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Lordi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albano Sal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Emiliano Chus fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C A River Plate's protests and gave Emiliano Chus a yellow card for diving instead. Emiliano Chus kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Anjullan FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Benicio Pere hit a great ball. If Romulo Vigil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amancio Brun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Sal having to interfere. If Clemente Urbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amancio Brun made a kick off. If Horacio Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amancio Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emiliano Chus was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 57th match minute, C A River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Chus to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th match minute, Anjullan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Sol to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 62 minutes, Rosendo Ebardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C A River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosendo Ebardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Anjullan FC's goalkeeper Adrian Franco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosendo Ebardo. If Amancio Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
