If Carmine Balestra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Guañacos's zone, Paulo Celio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Polentzi came out of the goal and Paulo Celio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidoro Polentzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marciano Mateus went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Guañacos's Isidoro Polentzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Mateus in the 35th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmine Balestra got free with Ismael Luzaide in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Bermejo getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Remigio Reyes hit a great ball. Isidoro Polentzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Celio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosme Phelipe succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-6 in the 95th playminute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bermejo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
