The referee ignored Gero´s Team's protests and gave Americo Escobar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gero´s Team's Americo Escobar got a free kick in the 4th minute. Niceto Ebardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Clis went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 9 minutes into the match, Constantino Bide had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niceto Ebardo. Gero´s Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantino Bide was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Americo Escobar hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Niceto Ebardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Clis in the 14th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Armando Clis notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Gero´s Team's Niceto Ebardo. Niceto Ebardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Niceto Ebardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Bide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ermegildo Filipo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amadeo Intxixu came out and tried to block the shot, but Ermegildo Filipo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 19th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Gero´s Team's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Bide came free, but Niceto Ebardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ermegildo Filipo's late challenge caught a LA CARLOTA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Filipo helped the player get up and apologised. Ermegildo Filipo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Gero´s Team's Lucio Mikelar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeo Intxixu. Amadeo Intxixu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Niceto Ebardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Bide, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Gero´s Team's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Eguerdi came free, but Niceto Ebardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Armando Clis came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the LA CARLOTA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Clis couldn't finish the play. After 45 played minutes LA CARLOTA FC got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Eguerdi. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Clis to make the kick off. Niceto Ebardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Clis in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute, Douglas Petersen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as LA CARLOTA FC's Gogo Eguerdi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Niceto Ebardo. That made the score 2-4 after 67 minutes of play. 69 minutes into the game, Gino Minnen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gero´s Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LA CARLOTA FC the free kick. Gero´s Team's Niceto Ebardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Rutenio in the 70th minute of play. Hernan Nabar charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernan Nabar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hernan Nabar kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of LA CARLOTA FC booed when Gero´s Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Escobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Gero´s Team's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Bide came free, but Niceto Ebardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gero´s Team's Niceto Ebardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Gero´s Team from getting a goal against them.
