Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Evaristo George took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo George in the 8th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Gerardo Chesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palermo's Gerardo Chesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo George in the 10th minute of play. Evaristo George received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Gerardo Chesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Evaristo George took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gerardo Chesus to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Evaristo George stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Chesus came out of the goal and Evaristo George tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esteve Baldovino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute Guillem Felipez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Bartolome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo George struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Gerardo Chesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wispers. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Angelino Endura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelino Endura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Bartolome breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillem Felipez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leon Bartolome read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Guillem Felipez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Leon Bartolome was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Evaristo George stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Chesus came out of the goal and Evaristo George tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelino Endura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillem Felipez got free with Leon Bartolome in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute, Ubaldo Corderall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Wispers's Florencio Banegas got a free kick in the 59th minute. Evaristo George fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Chesus having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Evaristo George made a precise shot to the right of Gerardo Chesus. Palermo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 77 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Leo Irrintzi. Wispers's Evaristo George got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wispers were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Palermo for a fine match.
