Narciso Isadore took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximo Maties. Maximo Maties dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Banfield FC booed when Chateaubriand AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Dantel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaspar Dantel hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Iwo Pierz struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Maximo Maties didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banfield FC. Maximo Maties took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Isadore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iwo Pierz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bernardino Liher kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Banfield FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Liher. Maximo Maties didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iwo Pierz went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Iwo Pierz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iwo Pierz in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Maties prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 46 minutes, Benigno Rocio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chateaubriand AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Rocio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iwo Pierz to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Chateaubriand AFC got a freekick which was hit by Blas Chano. 56 minutes into the game, Banfield FC's Iwo Pierz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximo Maties made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Iwo Pierz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Maximo Maties made a huge save. In the 62nd minute Banfield FC were awarded a corner. Iwo Pierz went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Narciso Isadore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banfield FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Isadore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Maties breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the game, Iwo Pierz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Maximo Maties was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Pierz in the 89th minute of play forced Chateaubriand AFC's goalkeeper Maximo Maties to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximo Maties showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwo Pierz in the 90th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Iwo Pierz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximo Maties was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Banfield FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
