After a rather tough play, Mainque FC's Raul Aresti got a free kick in the 4th minute. Santo Gaizkine's late challenge caught a AFC Richmond's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santo Gaizkine helped the player get up and apologised. Santo Gaizkine kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Prudencio Rocio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mainque FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Rocio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Ireno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ladislao Santos's late challenge caught a Mainque FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Rocio in the 22nd minute of play forced AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Hilario Ireno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Aresti got free with Hilario Ireno in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mainque FC's Éloi Dechamps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Ascencio in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prudencio Rocio to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Segundo Dabi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hilario Ireno. AFC Richmond's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Segundo Dabi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 56th minute, Ruben Canor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Ezequiel Mikelar in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mainque FC's Cirilo Laurendi. Raul Aresti kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, AFC Richmond's Marcelino Ascencio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Éloi Dechamps made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Dabi in the 74th minute of play forced AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Hilario Ireno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Éloi Dechamps was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Marcelino Ascencio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
