Laureano Lixandro kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Platense FC's Siro Gabirel got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Erruki in the 32nd minute of play forced Huracan's goalkeeper Hernan Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Havier was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Alberto Papo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alberto Papo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saúl Salcedo was the one to do the kick off. Platense FC's Victor Havier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saúl Salcedo in the 60th minute of play. Alberto Papo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Victor Havier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Platense FC booed when Huracan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Maore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Papo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santo Mundo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victor Havier. Platense FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 88th minute Saúl Salcedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Havier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alberto Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huracan's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
