An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Eger in the 6th minute of play forced Idiazábal FC's goalkeeper Domingo Magdaleno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Paulão Eger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domingo Magdaleno. Idiazábal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulão Eger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 20th minute, Paulão Eger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ranquil AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to Ranquil AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Nestor Isaio hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Nemesio Pasqual hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulão Eger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Domingo Magdaleno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Rui Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Domingo Magdaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingo Magdaleno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulão Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Ranquil AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulão Eger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Serafin Beremundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Astudillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Paulão Eger dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Domingo Magdaleno, 0-3. Fulgencio Iturri hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruperto Torres in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serafin Beremundo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulão Eger took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Domingo Magdaleno. Domingo Magdaleno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Paulão Eger hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Idiazábal FC defense, Paulão Eger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domingo Magdaleno. The Idiazábal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingo Magdaleno should have stopped the shot. Paulão Eger got in the 83rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Domingo Magdaleno handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Leandro Rubio's late challenge caught a Ranquil AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. Leandro Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Ranquil AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
