The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Froilan Arnau hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Ildefonso Oton kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, IMO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Oskarbi came free, but Andris Ozjorskis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Urbano Geleberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th match minute, IMO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Oton to maneuver through the defense. Andris Ozjorskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Oskarbi in the 24th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Sebastian Herzog threw the ball into play from the sideline. Grupo's Gualterio Mogel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubaldo Oskarbi in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andris Ozjorskis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to IMO FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Primitivo Cordeal hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Grupo's goalkeeper Godofredo Petrigai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robin Axelsson. When Grupo's Ubaldo Oskarbi in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye IMO FC's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Primitivo Cordeal was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Primitivo Cordeal sped through Grupo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Godofredo Petrigai. Robin Axelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Froilan Arnau kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Grupo's Froilan Arnau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andris Ozjorskis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ubaldo Oskarbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grupo's Godofredo Petrigai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Cordeal in the 70th minute of play. Ubaldo Oskarbis short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Andris Ozjorskis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 73 played minutes Grupo got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Mogel. Ubaldo Oskarbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Primitivo Cordeal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86thth minute of the game Primitivo Cordeal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grupo's Godofredo Petrigai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Primitivo Cordeal in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godofredo Petrigai saved Grupo from getting behind. When IMO FC's Primitivo Cordeal in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grupo's goalie prevented a goal. 94 minutes into the match, Ildefonso Oton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godofredo Petrigai. Grupo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ildefonso Oton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Grupo's Lorenzo Gaspard got a free kick in the 97th minute. Grupo's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because IMO FC had won, even though Grupo had held more of the ball.
