With his leg Fernando Vachon managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Leones de City Bell's Paulo Chuan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 44 minutes into the match, Leones de City Bell's Justo Eutropio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Vachon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Justo Eutropio fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones de City Bell's protests and gave Justo Eutropio a yellow card for diving instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell German Domiku to make the kick off. In the 59th match minute, Juanillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Indar to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Juanillo FC booed when Leones de City Bell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Sadurni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justo Eutropio struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Fernando Vachon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones de City Bell. Honorio Indar's late challenge caught a Leones de City Bell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulo Ilixo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 89th minute Honorato Quintyn suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 89 minutes, Siro Abeita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leones de City Bell and the Juanillo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Juanillo FC's Nunez Millrick was substituted for Honorato Quintyn.
