The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Paulo Brodel was the one to do the kick off. Benito Lander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Omero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Nel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Zinedine Zidane getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Mateo Monico hit a great ball. Zé Paulo Brodel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hector Nel having to make a save. Zinedine Zidane's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
