Gogo Lluques scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guaberto Rufo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silverio Ranolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Maximiliano Gaztea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Feliberto Pueblo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silverio Ranolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Gaztea having to interfere. Guaberto Rufo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Ermengol in the 45th minute of the match. If Gogo Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience was convinced that Jimeno Santikurtz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximiliano Gaztea was relentless in the 51st minute of the game.
