The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Florentino Soin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Martino, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Igor Llope recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Florentino Soin. Igor Llope showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Severino Steven scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaspar Cordaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute, one of Zubillaga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zubillaga. Cristobal Frechoso shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Denis Evis came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Zubillaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Evis couldn't finish the play. In the 19th match minute, C.A. Alumni. Villa Maria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Frechoso to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Martino's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Florentino Soin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Igor Llope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Soin having to interfere. A collision led to C.A. Alumni. Villa Maria getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Victorino Sustrai hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Evis got free with Florentino Soin in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denis Evis scored 2-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florentino Soin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute, Denis Evis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florentino Soin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The supporters of Zubillaga booed when C.A. Alumni. Villa Maria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Frechoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florentino Soin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Martino in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, C.A. Alumni. Villa Maria's goalkeeper Florentino Soin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Urre. A collision led to C.A. Alumni. Villa Maria getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Lino Rayman hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Martino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Martino in the 54th minute of play forced C.A. Alumni. Villa Maria's goalkeeper Florentino Soin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Severino Steven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucio Urre's late challenge caught a C.A. Alumni. Villa Maria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucio Urre helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Lucio Urre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Evis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florentino Soin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After 80 minutes of play, Zubillaga's Fausto Martino made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florentino Soin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Florentino Soin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Martino's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Raul Frans charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raul Frans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 88 played minutes Zubillaga got a freekick which was hit by Raul Frans. C.A. Alumni. Villa Maria's Florentino Soin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Martino in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Zubillaga fully deserved thier win.
