In the 14th match minute, Santo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Tartalo to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Quebrachito FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Alejo Salvadore hit a great ball. Anísio Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nurettin Tapgac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Santo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Turi to maneuver through the defense. Nurettin Tapgac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santo FC's Nurettin Tapgac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Maranhense in the 40th minute of play. Eustaquio Lluciano's late challenge caught a Quebrachito FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustaquio Lluciano helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Santo FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quebrachito FC:s goal. The Santo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Quebrachito FC were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cayetano Bazkoare made a kick off. Cayetano Bazkoare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Jerano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson dos Santos having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Gaston Eate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nurettin Tapgac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cayetano Bazkoare fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santo FC's protests and gave Cayetano Bazkoare a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 69 minutes, Anísio Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quebrachito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anísio Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Santo FC's goalkeeper Nurettin Tapgac, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Santo FC's Rolando Tartalo got a free kick in the 75th minute. Gaston Eate was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Quebrachito FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
