With a little luck, Los Rebos's Martin Galeno got control of the ball when Rosendo Leoncio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Zé Augusto Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Rebos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Augusto Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Zé Augusto Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Luís Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Los Rebos's goalkeeper Martin Galeno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romulo Burutzagi. Romulo Burutzagi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Luís Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, El Obrero F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Vides came free, but Benito Arano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Reis in the 45th minute of play forced El Obrero F.C.'s goalkeeper Benito Arano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Luís Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Benito Arano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Filomeno Ferman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Obrero F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Rebos the free kick. The supporters of Los Rebos booed when El Obrero F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Ferman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Obrero F.C.'s zone, Zé Augusto Vides stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Arano came out of the goal and Zé Augusto Vides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute Luís Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Arano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Burutzagi in the 59th minute of play forced Los Rebos's goalkeeper Martin Galeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Galeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Burutzagi in the 61st minute of the match. If Zé Augusto Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Obrero F.C.'s Benito Arano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Reis in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in El Obrero F.C.'s zone, Zé Augusto Vides stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Arano came out of the goal and Zé Augusto Vides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd minute, Zé Augusto Vides left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Rebos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Luís Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Rebos's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Arano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martin Galeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Quilino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Augusto Vides could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Benito Arano made a huge save. Arnulfo Aballe kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Zé Augusto Vides recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
