The supporters of Acostilla booed when Porvenir Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Tebaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes Acostilla got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Cordero. Adolfo Orlands short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Augusto Aballe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marciano Sandaili to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Adolfo Orland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Aballe was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. If Geronimo Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Branislav Dvorčák was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Acostilla's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Giosta Tervo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Aballe having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Sebastian Bernaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porvenir Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Bernaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
