In the 9th minute, Hernan Canor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Verna AFC's goal looked a bit too open when 贺乐邦 came free, but Niceto Eliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Honorato Roano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Dalmau in the 16th minute of play forced las grutas's goalkeeper Albano Madaleno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelio Dalmau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the game, Cornelio Dalmau recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Albano Madaleno. Cornelio Dalmau showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Albano Madaleno was a little too slow when Felix Luzaide got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-0. las grutas's Albano Madaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Dalmau in the 27th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Verna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Clodio. With a little luck, las grutas's Albano Madaleno got control of the ball when Jonas Arias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albano Madaleno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Luzaide in the 35th minute. Honorato Roano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Niceto Eliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hernan Canor fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verna AFC's protests and gave Hernan Canor a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Verna AFC's Hernan Canor got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cornelio Dalmau to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, one of Verna AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Verna AFC. Honorato Roano walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by 贺乐邦 in the 64th minute of play forced Verna AFC's goalkeeper Niceto Eliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelio Dalmau kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Policarpio in the 71st minute of play forced las grutas's goalkeeper Albano Madaleno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Miguel Ascencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. las grutas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Ascencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorato Roano got free with Niceto Eliu in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Verna AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Benjamin Gines hit a great ball. 贺乐邦 struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Niceto Eliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for las grutas. 78 minutes into the match, las grutas's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Dalmau came free, but Albano Madaleno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Luzaide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Albano Madaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the las grutas defense, Cornelio Dalmau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albano Madaleno. The las grutas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albano Madaleno should have stopped the shot. Felix Luzaide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Luzaide in the 93rd minute of play forced las grutas's goalkeeper Albano Madaleno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of las grutas booed when Verna AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Larra didn't get a good kick on the ball.
