Hector Dino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ariel Gauargi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Valery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Gauargi having to interfere. If Hermengildo Gabrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damaso Aragones struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Hermengildo Poz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Armenio. With his leg Hermengildo Poz managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Deportivo Armenio's Damaso Aragones fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ariel Gauargi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Valery in the 30th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Mario Valery had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ariel Gauargi. Deportivo Armenio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mario Valery was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 33rd minute Justino Guillelme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Poz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgilio Lazcano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hermengildo Poz. Freckone's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damaso Aragones to make the kick off. 51 minutes in the game, Eusebio Loramendi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ariel Gauargi having to interfere. Freckone's Hermengildo Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Aragones in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damaso Aragones in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermengildo Poz saved Freckone from getting behind. Damaso Aragones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Hermengildo Poz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonatan Goito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermengildo Poz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damaso Aragones's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. If Mario Valery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermengildo Poz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Aragones, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Damaso Aragones came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Deportivo Armenio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Aragones couldn't finish the play. Eusebio Loramendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Gauargi having to interfere. Mario Valery's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Gauargi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Freckone left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Deportivo Armenio.
