Salto Grande's Eliseo Illan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Salto Grande from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the match, Salto's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Venceslas came free, but Tonny Koerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvano Arlo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Eliseo Illan made a huge save. In the 29th minute, Cristo Hunfredo made a precise shot to the right of Tonny Koerts. Salto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tonny Koerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Venceslas in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Filiberto Ezkerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Salto's Donato Azevedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eliseo Illan. Eliseo Illan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After 46 minutes of play, Salto Grande's Leonardo Venceslas made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tonny Koerts was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Salto Grande were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Phelipe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Tomas Phelipe sped through Salto's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tonny Koerts. With a little luck, Salto's Tonny Koerts got control of the ball when Tomas Phelipe tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cristo Hunfredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Tomas Phelipe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salto Grande's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Phelipe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Salto's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Venceslas came free, but Tonny Koerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Tomas Phelipe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tonny Koerts was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Generoso Dodorol kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Salto Grande's Cristo Hunfredo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. After 82 played minutes Salto Grande got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Beltza. Eliseo Illan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Nofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Salto's Silvano Arlo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
