When Club San Martín De Salta's Samuel Nuxila in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pichuco Fco's goalie prevented a goal. Iliyan Danovski charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iliyan Danovski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes Pichuco Fco got a freekick which was hit by Iliyan Danovski. Ruperto Primo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gustavo Maureo. Pichuco Fco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ovidio Padro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artemio Garaile in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Ruperto Primo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Pichuco Fco's Lino Telo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 21 minutes into the match, Club San Martín De Salta's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Garaile came free, but Ovidio Padro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Pichuco Fco got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Saturnin. Ovidio Padro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Garaile, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The supporters of Pichuco Fco booed when Club San Martín De Salta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Primo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artemio Garaile got free with Ovidio Padro in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Honorio Santo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Maureo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 41 minutes into the match, Manuel Eutropio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Maureo. Pichuco Fco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Eutropio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 44 minutes into the match, Angel Eguen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Maureo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ovidio Padro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Garaile in the 52nd minute of the match. During the 54th minute of the match Iliyan Danovski completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Iliyan Danovski a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Pichuco Fco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Manuel Eutropio scored to the left of an out of position Gustavo Maureo, making the score, 0-6. In the 60th minute, Honorio Santo made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Maureo. Pichuco Fco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Samuel Nuxila received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gustavo Maureo came out and tried to block the shot, but Samuel Nuxila slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 63rd minute. Caetano da Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidio Padro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano da Silveira in the 69th minute of play forced Club San Martín De Salta's goalkeeper Ovidio Padro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes, Eliseo Pacifico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pichuco Fco and the Club San Martín De Salta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Pichuco Fco got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Pacifico. Gustavo Maureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Nuxila in the 72nd minute of the match. Gustavo Maureo came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Club San Martín De Salta's Honorio Santo. But to his dismay, Honorio Santo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Tomas Barea kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Manuel Eutropio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club San Martín De Salta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. When Caetano da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Pichuco Fco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caetano da Silveira couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Maureo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Nuxila in the 93rd minute. Club San Martín De Salta's Honorio Santo suffered a sore thigh after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Duarte Borges fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pichuco Fco's protests and gave Duarte Borges a yellow card for diving instead. Duarte Borges hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club San Martín De Salta walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
