That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Romulo Ospin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estudiantes LP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EL ESPANTA TIBURONES the free kick. Gavino Matei was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. EL ESPANTA TIBURONES's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Carter Di Nino fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes LP's protests and gave Carter Di Nino a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Estudiantes LP got a freekick which was hit by Carter Di Nino. Herminio Perico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 31 minutes into the match, EL ESPANTA TIBURONES's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Camerino came free, but Cecilio Quinton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cecilio Quinton came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes LP's Iwo Beninda. But to his dismay, Iwo Beninda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gavino Matei got free with Nicasio Xabel in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guaberto Camerino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herminio Perico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Delmiro Gonzalez hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Herminio Perico made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Matei in the 55th minute of play forced Estudiantes LP's goalkeeper Nicasio Xabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herminio Perico in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cecilio Quinton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Herminio Perico succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 57th playminute. The supporters of Estudiantes LP booed when EL ESPANTA TIBURONES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Katia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estudiantes LP's Nicasio Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Matei in the 66th minute of play. Cecilio Quinton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herminio Perico in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in EL ESPANTA TIBURONES's zone, Herminio Perico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Quinton came out of the goal and Herminio Perico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the game, Gavino Matei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Nicasio Xabel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute Wilian Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Xabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes LP's Lorenzo Walme got a free kick in the 81st minute. The Estudiantes LP players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented EL ESPANTA TIBURONES from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
