Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Venancio Maraman got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Francisco Elixio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guañizuil's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Elixio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moises Faron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Justo Milian fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guañizuil's protests and gave Justo Milian a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Guañizuil's Justo Milian got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute of the game Leon Jayvier made a throw-in which Francisco Elixio played forward. When Gowlan's Venancio Maraman in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guañizuil's goalie prevented a goal. Baldomero Firmin hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Gowlan's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Rozarius came free, but Moises Faron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Guañizuil defense, Venancio Maraman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Mannuel. The Guañizuil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Mannuel should have stopped the shot. Francisco Elixio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Faron having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ubaldo Elija got free with Moises Faron in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moises Faron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Milian, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Moises Cloyo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guañizuil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gowlan the free kick. 22 minutes into the game, one of Guañizuil:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Gowlan. Geronimo Aimar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rolando Mannuel. 0-2. Moises Faron was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ubaldo Elija showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 27 minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Guañizuil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Horado to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Calvino in the 31st minute of play forced Guañizuil's goalkeeper Rolando Mannuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Mannuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Maraman in the 32nd minute of play. Venancio Maraman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Rolando Mannuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Guañizuil's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Maraman came free, but Rolando Mannuel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Moise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafin Santiago hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half Gowlan were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baldomero Rozarius made a kick off. Venancio Maraman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Mannuel having to interfere. Rolando Mannuel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Moise in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Timoteo Baudelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Mannuel was a little too slow when Jacobo Moise got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Maraman in the 62nd minute of play forced Guañizuil's goalkeeper Rolando Mannuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guañizuil's Rolando Mannuel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Maraman in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Guañizuil's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Geronimo Aimar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Gowlan's Geronimo Aimar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Mannuel. That made the score 1-4 after 72 minutes of play. After 75 minutes, Timoteo Baudelio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guañizuil and the Gowlan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, one of Guañizuil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guañizuil. Rolando Mannuel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Venancio Maraman's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Moises Faron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Elixio, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Federico Aguilera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gowlan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guañizuil the free kick. A collision led to Gowlan getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Federico Aguilera hit a great ball. Venancio Maraman struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Rolando Mannuel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gowlan. Geronimo Aimar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolando Mannuel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Maraman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 97 minutes, Venancio Maraman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gowlan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Venancio Maraman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Gowlan left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guañizuil.
