The audience thought a goal was coming when Cecilio Cordaryal got free with Osvaldo Mendebal in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14thth minute of the game Celso Urki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chañarmuyo's Osvaldo Mendebal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Osvaldo Mendebal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Urki in the 18th minute of the match. If Cecilio Cordaryal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Mendebal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Urki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 28 in the game by Cecilio Cordaryal from a close distance when the talented Osvaldo Mendebal managed to make a qualified save. Chañarmuyo's players were relieved. Osvaldo Mendebal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Urki in the 32nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Celso Urki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Mendebal was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After recieving a nice pass, Moreno's Evelio Ponce tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Celso Urki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Chañarmuyo getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ciro Harriet hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celso Urki made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Fernan Fonda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Chañarmuyo's zone, Celso Urki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Mendebal came out of the goal and Celso Urki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Mendebal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Cordaryal in the 57th minute of the match. Moreno's Rene Casomiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Hodei in the 60th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidio Anaya during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Chañarmuyo got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Anaya. 66 minutes into the game, Celso Urki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Osvaldo Mendebal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 69 played minutes Chañarmuyo got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Montxo. Moreno's Cecilio Cordaryal got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the game, one of Chañarmuyo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Cecilio Cordaryal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moreno's supporters rose to their feet, but Cecilio Cordaryal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Mendebal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osvaldo Mendebal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cecilio Cordaryal's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. There was no doubt that Moreno were the better team. Moreno's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
