Shi Chao Ting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Valentine, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 minutes, Oscar Lluterio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fortuna and the Leones players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Fortuna got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Lluterio. Denis Guillelmus's late challenge caught a Leones's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jonas Ralondo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Camilo Efraim scored 1-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shi Chao Ting, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Jose Eneas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaspar Remicio was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Fortuna's Tobias Blasi got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Jose Eneas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gaspar Remicio. The goal made the score 1-4. Prospero Bertol kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Jose Eneas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
