If Nicasio Salvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Beltxe came free, but Cristian Idacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ermegildo Beltxe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veteranos al Azar's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Beltxe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Idacio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidoro Salomon charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Salomon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Salomon. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Nicasio Salvino sped through Boca Juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristian Idacio. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Natalio Nevada hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicasio Salvino got free with Cristian Idacio in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Cordaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Azevedo in the 19th minute of play. Mauricio Arotza charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauricio Arotza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Mauricio Arotza got a free kick in the 28th minute. Isidoro Salomon was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 35th minute, Isidoro Salomon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Ermegildo Beltxe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Idacio came out of the goal and Ermegildo Beltxe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Nicasio Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Veteranos al Azar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicasio Salvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute of the match Pastor Clementi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristian Idacio skillfully saved the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ceferino Azevedo made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ermegildo Beltxe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Veteranos al Azar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 60 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Matthew. Ermegildo Beltxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Veteranos al Azar's Ermegildo Beltxe in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Cristian Idacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Veteranos al Azar's Julian Cordaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Urdaspal in the 79th minute of play. Ceferino Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ceferino Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Julian Cordaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Efrain Matthew's late challenge caught a Veteranos al Azar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efrain Matthew helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Efrain Matthew got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Nicasio Salvino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristian Idacio having to make a save.
