An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Oto in the 5th minute of play forced Johnnie Walker's goalkeeper Ciriaco Bertol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciriaco Bertol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Oto in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Conrado Oto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Bull FC™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ciriaco Bertol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Oto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Benito Sugoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Bortzaioriz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Johnnie Walker's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Sugoi came free, but Ciriaco Bertol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciriaco Bertol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Oto in the 19th minute of play. Vinicio Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Arnoldo Aurken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnoldo Aurken made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Damaso Urtzi sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Johnnie Walker's Damaso Urtzi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnoldo Aurken. That made the score 1-1 after 27 minutes of play. A collision led to Johnnie Walker getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Isidro Lluis hit a great ball. Mario Venerando kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Mino in the 32nd minute of play forced Johnnie Walker's goalkeeper Ciriaco Bertol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Johnnie Walker booed when Red Bull FC™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Mino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Red Bull FC™'s zone, Damaso Urtzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnoldo Aurken came out of the goal and Damaso Urtzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vinicio Furtado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnoldo Aurken having to make a save. Ciriaco Bertol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Naldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damaso Urtzi to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Johnnie Walker's goalkeeper Ciriaco Bertol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Oto. 55 minutes into the match, Johnnie Walker's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Sugoi came free, but Ciriaco Bertol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Conrado Oto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciriaco Bertol. Johnnie Walker's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrado Oto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Ciriaco Bertol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Sugoi in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Johnnie Walker's goalkeeper Ciriaco Bertol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teobaldo Naldo. Conrado Oto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciriaco Bertol having to make a save. Conrado Oto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damaso Urtzi kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Sugoi in the 78th minute of play forced Johnnie Walker's goalkeeper Ciriaco Bertol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Teobaldo Naldo fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Bull FC™'s protests and gave Teobaldo Naldo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Red Bull FC™ getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Teobaldo Naldo hit a great ball. The Red Bull FC™ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Red Bull FC™ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
