The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 18th minute, Matias Medina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Ranquilón's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Salamon came free, but Lino Polentzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmiro Salamon in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Polentzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Medina in the 26th minute of play forced Ranquilón's goalkeeper Lino Polentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to milton junior getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Benito Mannie hit a great ball. Lino Polentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Salvatore, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 37th minute Atilano Fertus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Polentzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Nemesio Esiquio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. milton junior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ranquilón the free kick. A collision led to milton junior getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Nemesio Esiquio hit a great ball. Claudio Eguerdi might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa Emre Ünlüsoy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Eguerdi ran back to his position shaking his head. Lino Polentzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Salamon in the 44th minute of the match. Horacio Salvatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Lino Polentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ranquilón players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. milton junior were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmiro Salamon made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Eustacio Shantala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Benito Mannie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 played minutes Ranquilón got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Vermudo. Teodoro Vermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Teodoro Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. milton junior's Mustafa Emre Ünlüsoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Xabel in the 69th minute of play. Delmiro Salamon in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lino Polentzi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lino Polentzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Salvatore in the 73rd minute of the match. Delmiro Salamon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Lino Polentzi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 78 played minutes Ranquilón got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Eguerdi. Delmiro Salamon in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lino Polentzi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. milton junior's Isaac Demario got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mustafa Emre Ünlüsoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Tello, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the match was over milton junior could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ranquilón throughout the match.
