Isidro Nuñez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santos Noe having to make a save. Santos Noe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genaro Cordario's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Jacinto Matro's late challenge caught a CATucumán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Matro helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Olivos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Matro. In the 15thth minute of the game Genaro Cordario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olivos AFC's Santos Noe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santos Noe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Solustiano in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Genaro Cordario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olivos AFC's Santos Noe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Genaro Cordario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rogelio Ibañez hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Amadeo Castulo in the 43rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Santos Noe's left hand side. Genaro Cordario scored 0-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santos Noe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Olivos AFC's Santos Noe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Olivos AFC from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Emeterio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Santos Noe, 0-2. Agustin Solustiano scored 0-3 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santos Noe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the game, Fausto Che was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CATucumán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olivos AFC the free kick. After 67 played minutes CATucumán got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Che. CATucumán's Greger Back played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Niguel in the 70th minute of play. After 80 played minutes, CATucumán's Reynaldo Emeterio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santos Noe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CATucumán reached it. The supporters of CATucumán booed when Olivos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Matro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santos Noe made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Agustin Solustiano sent off a good shot on target. The CATucumán fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when CATucumán's Genaro Cordario looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. CATucumán's Miguel Urdin was substituted for Genaro Cordario. CATucumán played a much better game than Olivos AFC and deserved their victory. The Olivos AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
