Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danilo Cordarin in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Figueroa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danilo Cordarin in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aquilino Figueroa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Humberto Chorche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lia Ochandiano in the 6th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Danilo Cordarin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético River Plate's Aquilino Figueroa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Danilo Cordarin scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquilino Figueroa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Estudiantes BA's Danilo Cordarin in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Cornelio Polo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Cordarin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aquilino Figueroa came out and tried to block the shot, but Danilo Cordarin slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 42nd minute. Marcelo Milio hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Adolfo Felipo made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Saul Sazon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Figueroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Saul Sazon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Aquilino Figueroa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Estudiantes BA's Danilo Cordarin got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Humberto Chorche was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danilo Cordarin in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquilino Figueroa saved Club Atlético River Plate from getting behind. Estudiantes BA made a substitution. Anastasio Paskal replaced Robustiano Llorenc. Danilo Cordarin charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Cordarin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Cordarin in the 88th minute of play forced Club Atlético River Plate's goalkeeper Aquilino Figueroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Figueroa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Cordarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Danilo Cordarin put it in 4-3 from a short distance just to the right of Aquilino Figueroa.
