In the 8th match minute, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Gomez to maneuver through the defense. Damian Loren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomiro Guillelmo in the 10th minute. In the 14th minute, Esteban Loiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Gomez in the 17th minute of play forced TORCUATO FC.'s goalkeeper Wladyslaw Kasiewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza's Damian Loren got control of the ball when Baldomiro Guillelmo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match TORCUATO FC. got a corner. Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alberto Ciceron ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, TORCUATO FC.'s Ernesto Pietro got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in TORCUATO FC.'s zone, Lázaro Gomez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wladyslaw Kasiewski came out of the goal and Lázaro Gomez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. TORCUATO FC.'s Wladyslaw Kasiewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Gomez in the 31st minute of play. In the 37th minute, Cayetano Lehen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anibal Maju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wladyslaw Kasiewski having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza got a freekick which was hit by Andres Maurino. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Baldomiro Guillelmo managed to get in a good position for a shot. TORCUATO FC.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomiro Guillelmo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Loren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Baldomiro Guillelmo made the kick off in the second half. Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza's Damian Loren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Hori in the 52nd minute of play. Andres Maurino hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Claudio Hori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza's Damian Loren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Guillelmo in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to TORCUATO FC. getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Erasmo Blanco hit a great ball. After some careless play in the TORCUATO FC. defense, Lázaro Gomez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wladyslaw Kasiewski. The TORCUATO FC. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wladyslaw Kasiewski should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mza had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
