The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Natalio Illan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Gipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cosme Gipuzkoa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natalio Illan's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Fernando Lleir kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Carlos Belasko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Honorato Lander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, Patricio Rey's Mario Bidun got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute, Candido Ihintza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Iyan made in the 60th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Florencio Evangelista however managed to control. Mario Bidun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Delmiro Iliana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Candido Ihintza kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Ivan Tavio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Delmiro Iliana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximino Berdoi went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Patricio Rey's Robustiano Gartxot was substituted for Mario Bidun. 78 minutes into the game, Cristo Faron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Delmiro Iliana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Delmiro Iliana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Faron in the 85th minute of play. After 86 played minutes Patricio Rey got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Belasko. Patricio Rey's Celestino Urti was substituted for Carlos Belasko. A collision led to Patricio Rey getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Carlos Belasko hit a great ball. Patricio Rey's Cosme Gipuzkoa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Patricio Rey from getting a goal against them. Ranchos's Delmiro Iliana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Berdoi in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Celestino Urti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patricio Rey's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Urti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Robustiano Gartxot came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Patricio Rey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Gartxot couldn't finish the play. Patricio Rey's Cosme Gipuzkoa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Patricio Rey from getting a goal against them. There was no doubt that Patricio Rey were the better team. Patricio Rey's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
