After a defensive mix-up in Cafferata's zone, Antonio Min stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Cordeiro came out of the goal and Antonio Min tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugenio Roland hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Angel Pudes hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Justo Gelacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Abastas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. A collision led to Portugalete getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Baldomiro Ferrando hit a great ball. Prospero Abastas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Antonio Min recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabian Cordeiro. Antonio Min showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Justo Gelacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Cordarell in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Portugalete booed when Cafferata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Lauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justo Gelacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Cutberto in the 27th minute of play. Portugalete's Justo Gelacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Lauro in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Ubaldo Resto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabian Cordeiro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Portugalete's Antonio Min shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Anselmo Theobald hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonio Min was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Eusebio Lauro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Justo Gelacio. That made the score 2-1 in the 57 minute of play. Justo Gelacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Lauro in the 60th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Cafferata's Eugenio Roland slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Justo Gelacio. That made the score 2-2 after 61 minutes of play. The attack was good, but when Ubaldo Resto in the 68th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Justo Gelacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Roland in the 70th minute of play. Antonio Min fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Cordeiro having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Portugalete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Resto to maneuver through the defense. Orlando Patxi made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Amado Cutberto. Eusebio Lauro kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cafferata had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
