The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Barrealito getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Cristo Romelio hit a great ball. Angelo Sabino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timoteo Shantala's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Canalla got a corner. Barrealito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ulises Chap ran over to the corner to take the kick. Canalla's Ulises Chap was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Angelo Sabino in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Canalla's Amador Rafel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Canalla from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Timoteo Shantala left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canalla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Barrealito's Luciano Rami in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canalla's goalie prevented a goal. Victorio Monte kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Barrealito's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Teodor came free, but Angelo Sabino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Martxot hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Canalla's goalkeeper Amador Rafel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Luciano Rami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barrealito reached it. Victoriano Lekubegi's late challenge caught a Canalla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victoriano Lekubegi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Victoriano Lekubegi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Barrealito's Angelo Sabino got control of the ball when Timoteo Shantala tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Teodor in the 66th minute of play forced Barrealito's goalkeeper Angelo Sabino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Barrealito's goalkeeper Angelo Sabino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvaro Teodor. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Rami in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amador Rafel saved Canalla from getting behind. Luciano Rami ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 89 minutes, Leonides Bernad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrealito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Bernad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Canalla's Angelo Sabino threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Narciso Lizar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Amador Rafel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luciano Rami's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the match was over Canalla could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Barrealito throughout the match.
