The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorio Distiratsu got free with Cesar Orti in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Rolando Otsoa made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Rolando Otsoa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Escobar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanserou the free kick. After 53 played minutes Escobar got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Otsoa. A collision led to Escobar getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Clemente Cuartio hit a great ball. After 64 minutes, Silvano Mingo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escobar and the Lanserou players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leandro Bilintx helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Lanserou was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Bilintx to maneuver through the defense. Escobar's Ciriaco Quintun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Escobar from getting a goal against them. Escobar's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
