But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genaro Osoitz couldn't finish the play. Federico Su made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 傅青宇 in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to crimson getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Constantino Saturnin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, crimson's Jonatan Tallia got a free kick in the 24th minute. Jonatan Tallia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jacobo Inocente fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Deportivo Gaona 's protests and gave Jacobo Inocente a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C. A. Deportivo Gaona getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jacobo Inocente hit a great ball. With a little luck, C. A. Deportivo Gaona 's Federico Su got control of the ball when Jonatan Tallia tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of crimson booed when C. A. Deportivo Gaona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Dei didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Kaare in the 39th minute of play forced C. A. Deportivo Gaona 's goalkeeper Federico Su to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, crimson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Kaare to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Deportivo Gaona 's Federico Su played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Tallia in the 62nd minute of play. Erik Kaare might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Su. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Kaare ran back to his position shaking his head. Horacio Ortle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Damian Rafe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
