Humberto Ellande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Ulizes having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Excellent Era's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Ellande came free, but Ricardo Ulizes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Ulizes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Ellande in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Excellent Era's Elvio Flores got a free kick in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Ellande in the 19th managed to get into a good position. When Amador Veto came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ave Fénix Fútbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amador Veto couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Excellent Era's Teofilo Gamus got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ricardo Ulizes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Veto, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Niceto Eutropio scored to the left of an out of position Armando Salvino, making the score, 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niceto Eutropio to make the kick off. A collision led to Excellent Era getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Samuel Chepe hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Humberto Ellande dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ricardo Ulizes, 1-3. 58 minutes into the match, Excellent Era's goalkeeper Ricardo Ulizes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Ellande. If Humberto Ellande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute Albano Orlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Ulizes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's Humberto Ellande ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Ulizes. Ricardo Ulizes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Ricardo Ulizes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Ellande in the 67th minute of the match. Amador Veto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Elvio Flores hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Excellent Era's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Mariano Asur scored to the left of an out of position Ricardo Ulizes, making the score, 1-5. After 76 minutes of play, Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's Mariano Asur made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Ulizes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardo Ulizes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Veto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Asur succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 89th playminute. Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's Mariano Asur was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match was over Ave Fénix Fútbol Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Excellent Era throughout the match.
