The crowd rose to their feet as atlas's Carlos Melo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardino Haitz. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Leonel Piorno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Bernardino Haitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timoteo Valery came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by MURGUITA DEL LITORAL's Guillermo Ospetsu. But to his dismay, Guillermo Ospetsu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Guillermo Ospetsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. atlas's Eugenio Irrintzi was substituted for Wilfredo Inocente. The supporters of atlas booed when MURGUITA DEL LITORAL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Markel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Leonel Piorno reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bernardino Haitz. The goal made the score 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
