Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Erasmo Maraman started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Aimar in the 4th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Justo Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Teofilo Txaran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Justo Lopez skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Erasmo Maraman hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Ignacio Aimar put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Justo Lopez. Theofanis Varlamis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alfredo Santo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justo Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Aimar in the 20th minute of play. If Cezary Daszkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Aimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Justo Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cezary Daszkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Santo having to interfere. Justo Lopez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Aimar's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 36 minutes into the match, Tadeo Benvide notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Racing Club's Justo Lopez. Justo Lopez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 39 played minutes, boquita's Severo Gilen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Justo Lopez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in boquita reached it. Prospero Casado struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Alfredo Santo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. The supporters of boquita booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Hermon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ignacio Aimar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Justo Lopez made a huge save. If Cezary Daszkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th match minute, boquita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Errapel to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Osoro during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes boquita got a freekick which was hit by Juan Osoro. After 73 minutes of play, Racing Club's Cezary Daszkowski made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Santo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Racing Club's Prospero Casado got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Racing Club booed when boquita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Osoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cezary Daszkowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Santo having to make a save. After 87 minutes of play boquita's Dalmacio Errapel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Dalmacio Errapel kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Erasmo Maraman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 89 minutes into the match, boquita's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Maraman came free, but Alfredo Santo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Maraman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Racing Club manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing boquita to win.
