When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cirilo Berasko made a kick off. In the 95th minute Jacinto Santikurtz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Ipek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Iseka Futbol Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Melchor Maiorga was slow to take the kick. During this time Elertondo's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Cipriano Fagildo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The Elertondo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Elertondo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
