If Beppe Mancinelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciro Crescencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Hotz in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Marcelo Hotz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Crescencio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Hotz made a kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Liebig 's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Hotz came free, but Ciro Crescencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TALLERES DE CORDOBA's Beppe Mancinelli got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cornelio Cuarto charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornelio Cuarto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of TALLERES DE CORDOBA booed when Liebig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Cuarto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Ioan Perșa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justino Che made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victorino Ibar in the 75th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Liebig players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for TALLERES DE CORDOBA.
