Emanuel Gaitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Iztal having to interfere. Eulalio Abaunza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bonifacio Ermano in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bonifacio Licerio saved Chorillo FC from getting behind. Eulalio Abaunza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Iztal having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Protestante AFC's goalkeeper Eulalio Iztal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eulalio Abaunza. After having played for 33 minutes, Emanuel Gaitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chorillo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Gaitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Despite this Eulalio Iztal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 39 minutes into the match, Chorillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Aznaro came free, but Bonifacio Licerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Gaitano struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Eulalio Iztal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chorillo FC. Eulalio Abaunza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eulalio Iztal having to make a save. In the 44th minute, Emanuel Gaitano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute Emanuel Gaitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Protestante AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eulalio Abaunza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bonifacio Ermano made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Emanuel Gaitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eulalio Iztal came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Chorillo FC's Ramon Libertad. But to his dismay, Ramon Libertad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of Protestante AFC booed when Chorillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Guzman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Protestante AFC's goalkeeper Eulalio Iztal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Atilano Maule fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chorillo FC's protests and gave Atilano Maule a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Chorillo FC's Atilano Maule got a free kick in the 89th minute. If Eulalio Abaunza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
