The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bartolo Vela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Pagomari in the 3rd minute of the match. Racing Club's Bartolo Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Pagomari in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Iker Gaitan. Bartolo Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Pagomari in the 9th minute of play. Bartolo Vela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Isadore in the 11th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes Barburín got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Iratze. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Filiberto Pagomari put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bartolo Vela. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Serafino Abaurre got a free kick in the 18th minute. Ivan Txaran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bartolo Vela. Racing Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Raul Froila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Gaitan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Barburín getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bernardo Iratze hit a great ball. Bernabe Isadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Filiberto Pagomari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Barburín's Bernabe Isadore in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Racing Club's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Daniel Selatse hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Israel Garoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Iker Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Racing Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Barburín were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iker Gaitan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernardo Iratze kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute Filiberto Pagomari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Vela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57thth minute of the game Filiberto Pagomari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Bartolo Vela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernabe Isadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barburín's Filiberto Pagomari got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Racing Club's Bartolo Vela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. 69 minutes into the game, Filiberto Pagomari lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Bartolo Vela. In the 72ndth minute of the game Filiberto Pagomari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Bartolo Vela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernabe Isadore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Vela having to interfere. In the 77th minute, one of Racing Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Racing Club. Bartolo Vela went to the wrong direction when Ivan Txaran was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 80th minute Filiberto Pagomari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Vela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartolo Vela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filiberto Pagomari in the 82nd minute. Filiberto Pagomari was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Filiberto Pagomari got free in front of the goal in the 87th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Bartolo Vela was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Bernabe Isadore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bartolo Vela. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bartolo Vela should have stopped the shot. Israel Garoa's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Israel Garoa helped the player get up and apologised. Israel Garoa kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Iker Gaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Froila having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Gaitan in the 101st minute of play forced Barburín's goalkeeper Raul Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Racing Club supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Barburín's performance. The match ended with a win for Barburín.
