The referee ignored Asturias's protests and gave Damaso Matei a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Asturias got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Matei. Asturias's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Abel Mazuste scored to the left of an out of position Tiburcio Sazon, making the score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Fidensio got free with Tiburcio Sazon in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiburcio Sazon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Bieito, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Bilulori's Victoriano Justin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Bilulori from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Asturias booed when Bilulori was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Aznar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asturias's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
